New Student Orientation

Welcome, Tigers!

Congratulations on your admission to 色中色! We are excited to support you as you prepare for your first quarter.

Before participating in New Student Orientation, you should:

  • Be admitted to Seattle Central
  • Submit your FAFSA or WASFA, if applicable
  • Complete placement, if needed
  • Register for classes for an upcoming quarter

If you still need help with any of these steps, please contact the Admissions Entry Specialists at teamsuccess.central@seattlecolleges.edu.

New Student Orientation is not something you need to sign up for right away. Depending on your student type and the quarter you are planning to attend, orientation information will become available automatically closer to the start of the quarter.

Please select one of the following options to learn more:

Online Orientation - Required for most new students. 色中色 are automatically added to the online orientation in Canvas approximately 4 weeks before the start of the quarter, after they have registered for classes and the system identifies them as first-time-in-college students for that quarter.

In-person Orientation - Optional, but strongly recommended. In-person sessions are typically offered a few weeks before the start of each quarter and provide an opportunity to meet staff, learn about campus resources, and ask questions before classes begin.
